Neck Pain
Neck pain affects 50% of people throughout their life, and at any given time, 13% of the population is experiencing neck pain. There are many causes of neck pain including disc issues, muscle spasm, sprain/strain (whiplash), nerve irritation, and mechanical dysfunction.
Mechanical dysfunction of the cervical spine is the most common cause of neck pain at this office. This includes a loss of movement between the joints of the spine and reduced movement in the muscles surrounding the spine. This can be attributed to poor posture, sleep position, or previous injury.
Here at Prairie Life Chiropractic in Sioux Center, IA, we offer treatments customized for each of our patient’s specific causes of neck pain. We offer spinal manipulation(adjustments), acupuncture, therapeutic stretches, therapeutic exercises, dry needling, myofascial release, and rock taping.
